Board of Directors

Dave McGoldrick

About Dave:
I have been actively involved with Cambridge Youth Soccer since 1999. Currently serving as the President of Cambridge Youth Soccer since 2016. I have also held the positions of Vice-President 2013-2015, Executive Secretary 2012-2013, Equipment Director 2010-2012 and House League Director 2008-2010. I have coached both House League and Travel Teams for over 15 years winning titles with the Travel Teams in 2009, 2012 and 2015 with the Woolwich Wolfpack. One of the things I’m most proud of being part of CYS, is my daughter Hayley and I helped design/create the Cambridge United Logo for all our travels teams back in 2012.

I also have coached Travel basketball for 10 years winning a Bronze medal at the Ontario Basketball Association finals in 2010 with the Waterloo Wildhawks and back to back Gold Medals with the Cambridge Centaurs in 2012&2013.

Watching kids enjoy sports is the reason I stay involved. I love all sports, but of all sports, my favorite is College Football and cheering on my beloved “Ohio State Buckeyes.”

Jennifer Vastagh

About Jennifer:
I have been actively involved with CYS for more than 5 years, both as a Game Leader for Indoor/Outdoor House League U5-U8 as well as my current position as Head Coach of the U9 Girls Target Squad. I have worked diligently over the last few years acquiring the required Coach training at both the Fundamentals and Learn to Train levels, in addition to supplementary workshops through both Ontario Soccer and Sport for Life.  I look forward to someday completing my C License, and welcome the challenge!

Personally, my career involves supporting students as an Educator with a focus in Special Education, Health and Physical Education and Assistive Technology/Adaptive Equipment. These areas of expertise fit very nicely when supporting and advocating for our players in the area of Physical Literacy, Fundamental Movement Skills, and Grassroots soccer.  I take pride in my daughters, who currently play for Competitive Teams within CYS, and my husband who offers endless encouragement; all 3 are my motivation and support with any new endeavor.

My Purpose for joining the Board is to offer a personal and professional perspective when advocating and supporting the retention, development and support for our female players, as well as female coaches. I hope to help young female players build confidence, develop skills and fall in love with Soccer!

It is a privilege to have this opportunity with Cambridge Youth Soccer, and I will commit to bring a collaborative effort and equitable voice when supporting our club.
